Horwich

Let Homes Now operates as a Lettings Agent for Horwich. Horwich is situated off Junction 6 of the M61 to the east. It has nearly 9,000 residential properties and a good selection of different types of home are always available at competitive rental prices.

Horwich includes the sub-villages of Lostock and Blackrod and is popular for landlords and tenants because of its proximity to Bolton town centre 10 mins away and Manchester city centre 20 mins away on the M61 motorway.

Most areas of Horwich have a good mix of town houses, semi-detached and detached houses for rental. There are ex-local authority properties, housing association homes and private houses of all sizes. Flats are now proving to be popular, and developers are responding to the demand.

Many older cottage-style houses are to be found in the centre of the town and in the Church Street conservation area.

Most of the larger dwellings are in the north and east of the town, although there are four bedroom houses with gardens in most parts of Horwich. There are older houses of great character and interest and because Horwich is a hilly town, the town centre is nestled between the hillside of Blackrod and Rivington. Many homes enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.

There has been a great deal of house building in recent years to meet the rising demands of our thriving town with its excellent motorway links. New areas include, Butterwick Fields, a large development of 'executive type' property off Crown Lane and also at the Meadow, Middlebrook. The historical Arcon Village is a recent addition, comprising around 140 homes including mews style cottages, town houses and apartments. Chorley New Road has also seen a lot of development.

Horwich is recently well known as the home of Bolton Wanderers FC, a premier league team, surrounded by the Middlebrook Retail Park where you can find all the major retail stores and two large supermarkets.

On the edge of Horwich you will find Rivington Park where there are great walks and cycle paths. In the centre is Rivington barn which is very popular with cyclists at weekends.
